Microprocessor control senses speed and controls shifting for smooth
operation, prevents shifting between forward and reverse until truck
is completely stopped, and has no mechanical clutches. OptiDrive also
uses LEDs to signal transmission RPM, monitors voltage of receiver
pack, and can be programmed to use aftermarket radio systems. Micro
servo controls shifting. Torque control slipper clutch uses special
semi-metallic friction pads with a molded alloy pressure plate finned
for extra cooling. Optional close and wide ratio 2-speed gear sets
for custom tailoring to size and type of race track are also available.
