1988 Prestige Proof Set
A Prestige Proof Set is produced by the U.S. Mint containing one or more proof commemorative coins released in the same year, along with a proof cent, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar. We are offering 1988, celebrating the year's Olympic games. The six coins are placed in a velour material bookshelf display holder to preserve their loveliness and condition. The 1988 Prestige Set contains the Olympics silver dollar. It commemorates the U.S. participation in the Seoul Olympics. The obverse design with one torch lighting another is the work of Patricia Lewis Verani. The reverse is by mint sculptor engraver Sheryl Joseph Winter. The Prestige Proof program began in 1983 and ended in 1997. Our set is complete as issued by the U.S. Mint.
