A Prestige Proof Set is produced by the U.S. Mint containing one or more proof commemorative coins released in the same year, along with a proof cent, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar. We are offering 1990, the centennial year of the birth of Dwight D. Eisenhower. The 1990 Prestige Set contains the Eisenhower silver dollar featuring profiles of him as a war hero and post-WWII president. The reverse has his Gettysburg home. The six coins are placed in a velour material bookshelf display holder to preserve their loveliness and condition. The Prestige Proof program began in 1983 and ended in 1997.
