2003 Waffle Error Missouri Quarter
Waffled cancelled coinage represents an exciting new frontier in coin collecting. Here we provide the astute collector a 2003-P Missouri Waffle Quarter to round out any collection. Recently the U.S. Mint purchased a huge canceling machine which permits the Mint to destroy all the waste and errors produced in their daily strikings of coins. In the past, all these errors were shipped outside the Mint for destruction which allowed for many of these errors to reach collectors' hands. This new machine permits the Mint the ability to 'cancel' coins in-house. Very early in the United Statesge of this new machine, the Mint allowed a select group of 2003-P Missouri quarters to be sold in one parcel. Each canceled coin is one-of-a-kind and placed in a clear acrylic holder by the NGC. Note: All coin items considered for return must be in their original condition as sold. Seals and cases contribute to the value of the coin and currency collectibles and must remain intact and unbroken.
