2005 US Mint SP69 Westward Journey 6-Coin Set

Specimen 69 (SP69) is a new designation developed by the prestigious grading company ICG and follows the Dr. Shelton's Mint State numbering system of 1-70. Each of these coins carries a grade of SP69 from the ICG, which is one point away from an ideal 70. You receive one coin each from both the Philadelphia and Denver mints for a total of six coins including (2) Sacagawea golden dollars, (2) Buffalo nickels and (2) Ocean View nickels. The two nickel designs are the last releases of the two-year Westward Journey program. Both feature a redesigned Jefferson obverse. The Sacagawea dollar is the first coin to picture a identifiable Native American person. It was first minted in 2000 replacing the Susan B. Anthony dollar. Each coin is individually encapsulated in a clear acrylic holder to preserve loveliness and condition and placed in a museum storage box.
