Each coin depicts a different emperor with his name inscribed in Latin. Some notable leaders include: Constantine the Great (307-337) - The first Christian to hold the title of Roman Emperor. He moved the capital from Rome to Constantinople (present day Istanbul). Constantius II (337-361) - The second son of Constantine the Great. Gallienus II (253-268) - Renowned as an outstanding leader and had success against the German tribes in the struggle to control the Rhine region. Contemporary coin machinery did not exist at the time. Each coin is struck by skilled artisans of the time and therefore highly unique. All 20 coins are individually encapsulated and fit neatly in a deluxe wooden presentation box. The box has a plaque inscribed with the name and dates of reign for each emperor in the collection.
